I am excited to be writing my first blog here. I must admit I am struggling with a few issues with the page! so thank you for your patience ;) - it is a fantastic forum but it is quite a lot to do, and I am learning a lot!
Have you ever picked a dandelion fairy like the flowers above, and when they are ready to blow on them, the seeds just go crazy, almost exploding in the air effortlessly and floating away - you get to watch them hover and sail and then soar - just a moment, but what a glorious moment it is!
Those flowers, full of seeds, are incredibly prophetic to me. I know they are to God too, He pondered upon them, designed them and created them! For us! The beautiful thing about these dandelions is their flowers, jam packed full of seeds! And when the time is right, they yield themselves to the wind that blows through them and the seeds are sent heavenward to germinate and reproduce. It is a Holy Spirit moment: the breath upon them, they rise up and are carried to their next place of destination: to resow and grow again, in multiplication. And abundance. How beautiful.
(Thank you Pastor Peggy Barr from Living Streams Church on the Sunshine Coast for this beautiful prophetic picture of this flower and the word you gave me recently x).
Before I head off to bed, I am reminded of the promises the Lord has given me, The prophetic words, the many prayers people have prayed over me and my children, and my husband. More than ever I am aware of the easy ways this world has. This life is temporal and fleeting and the avenues are very broad. However, not all of what we see is necessarily truth, what we hear on the news, is necessarily true. What is true and stands the test of time? What is the one thing we can hold on to that will never fall away? Could it be, a breaking free of the constraints of mainstream and societal thinking?
Romans 12 verse 2 could be foremost in our thoughts this day:
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will."
Well, not all of my past is that rosy. In fact if I look back, in general it was a messy breakfast of broken relationships, abandonment, low self esteem and a few other morsels in there. But I am reminded that what has been dealt with in the Spirit, is finished. I can be a new creation all over again, because He made me new, and I can start new again every day. It doesn't matter if I mess up again. His mercies are new every morning.
"Thank you Lord for the season that is over. Thank you Lord for the people who were with me in that season, and helped me grow, gave me love in the best way they could. I choose to let them go as I have moved on, and I ask you Lord to bless them. Where there is forgiveness due, I choose to forgive ... and I let that go too. I thank you that Lamentations 3 v 22 -23 You have promised "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."Amen.
So good you are here, and keeping company on this journey we are on together. Deborah Monro
