Be wary of false Adornment

An "adornment" is generally an accessory or ornament worn to enhance the beauty or status of the wearer. To adorn oneself is not essential, but it is purposeful in celebrating life in times of marriage (as in a wedding gown, hair and jewellery), betrothal (in the case of a ring), graduation (where an award or certificate is recognised for achievement), even promotion. I believe we need to be careful of adorning ourselves daily, in that God has made us naturally in His image. To adorn in cosmetic, jewellery and tattoo is adverse to God's Adornment and is a physical recognition of a state of being in the world. It actually takes us away from us being purposeful in Him. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and with that we should be listening to Him, not the World on how we present ourselves, adorn ourselves. The World wants us to call out "Look at me", while the Spirit wants us to call out "Look at Yeshua". Worldly Adornment takes time to present, in cosmetic, jewellery, tattoo, to cosmetic surgery all of which lead to a Jezebel spirit. This takes away Godly achievement, and on a carnal level is simply over-advertising someone's state or situation or how they want to be seen in the world. Satan does not want us to be pure, he wants to corrupt us, and to influence us through the cosmetic and fashion industry via media and entertainment is a huge mountain. This false representation in the spirit beckons recognition, attention, and it calls out position. It is a demand for status. This is not, as Christians, what we are called to do.
I believe the Lord is speaking to His Bride right now, this season, to prepare herself, for He will be coming, when she is ready. And the Lord wants His people to know the Banquet is being prepared, therefore His Bride should be getting ready, adorning herself with the finery of what He has given her; the gifts of the Spirit, the treasures and riches of heaven. Do not despise the gifts the Holy Spirit has for the Bride. The gifts are to be recognised, and utilised. He has given them to us, to use to bless ourselves and others. And yes! We are in the year of the Lord's favour! The time is now!
Isaiah 61 v 1-3: The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion - to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
v 10-11: I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.
So we will not keep silent, we will not remain quiet, till Zion and Jerusalem's vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch! - You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord's hand, a royal diadem in the hand of our God! (taken from Isaiah 62 v1-3).
May He adorn you with His love, riches, blessings and gifts today.
