Identity - Your Words

The hearts of the wise make their mouths prudent, and their lips promote instruction.

Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.

Proverbs 16 v 23-25

They say the eyes are the windows to the soul.

The mouth is the window to the stomach.

That which a man uttereth, or speaks, so he is.

The Holy Spirit has given us much assistance on the matter of words. It can plainly be seen in all of history, our words are the very things that form our destiny, or lack of them. We need God's help in getting over the hurdles of communication, to be able to speak clearly, succinctly, not to gossip, to encourage and build one another up, to build in our own and share knowledge.

The seven Speaking gifts of the Holy Spirit are:

Exhortation, Prophecy, Teaching, Tongues, Word of Knowledge and Wisdom, and Worship.

Your words, what you say, what you speak out, says every thing of who you are.

Be sure you are quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, (James 1:19). And, Only conduct your lives in a way worthy of the Good News of the Messiah (Philippians 1:27).
