The Palm Tree of Deborah
Psalm 92:12-14 reads:
'The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; He is my Rock and there is no wickedness in him." '
We are living in an hour where we are called to, and we have a duty to respond. To respond with a sense of DESTINY. The call is the song, the prophecy, the yearning to go deeper into intimacy, worship, and purpose with our LORD. The hour is at hand, now.
There are two groups we can put people into:
1. ... having no sense of destiny (No desire to retrieve), commonly because they have "sold themselves out" through bloodline curses, whether aware or no, of sin in the family line.
and 2. ... having a vague sense of destiny, but no clarity to express. Access - yes, but their book remains closed. They need to open and unlock.
"TOMER DEBORAH" - the Palm Tree of Deborah
I am currently facilitating a 6 week workshop called THE DEBORAH ANOINTING March-April in 2021. It is actually one of the most exciting workshops I have done because the call on this mandate is so strong! God is calling His girls to rise in this hour to FLOURISH like a PALM TREE, growing strong in His courts and His authority in JUSTICE and TRUTH. It is such an hour for the church to stand to GET UP and GO FORTH in this hour! (Psalm 92). This has so many ramifications within the law of God, the law of the land, and principles of justice in the spiritual and the natural. It truly is exciting to see God revealing His truth and purpose here!
The meaning of Palm Tree from the Hebrew "tomer, tamar" is FREEDOM, RIGHTEOUSNESS, REWARD, RESURRECTION, VICTORY. The Palm Branch represents TRIUMPH, PEACE, ETERNAL LIFE. "Tamar" also means PILLAR, phoenix dactylifera, the image of the date palm has been found as an ornament on pottery from discoveries dated from 1800BC - a symbol of beauty and righteousness, giving good omen of returning happily from a journey. The Date Palm was the symbol for Judea to both Jews and Romans, signifying region, culture and identity. As the Palm also represents Heaven, it has been modified since AD200 to the symbol of two intersecting arcs, the "ICHTHYS" , the secret symbol for early Christians being 'the Jesus Fish' at the incept of further Roman persecution of the Jews.
The logo represents the miracle of the loaves and fishes. It also represents the KOINE Greek "lunate sigma" the 18th letter of the Greek alphabet having the value 200, and its uppercase is used as an operator for summation. The "ichthus" backronym or acrostic spells out JESUS CHRIST, SON OF GOD, SAVIOUR = 3x3x3 = 27 letters, this age, power. What has this all got to do with the Palm of Deborah?
The Palm of Deborah was situated between Ramah (pron. Rawmaw) located in a high region that represents "lofty thinking, high ideals, idolatry, positioning oneself", and Bethel to the south which means the house of God. We are indeed in the world situated and dealing with worldly and self-motivated ideals, spiritual powers while being temples of the HOLY SPIRIT, belonging to the House of God. As in Deborah's time circa.1200BC, we are facing an era of spiritual oppression - Judges 4 opens with the people of Israel doing evil in the eyes of the LORD with the previous judge Ehud dead. Without a spiritual leader, the people fall away into sin, transgressions, trespassing (willing violation of the law) and iniquity (twisted crookedness that causes sin and trespasses). Even the failure to address curses because of spiritual blindness is binding God's people into frozen oppression. Indeed, there are few teachers today preaching the Truth that sets the people Free. Judges 4 goes on in verses 2-3 the position of the oppressors and their might, but Israel cried to the LORD for help. Judges 4:4 introduces Deborah, the wife of Lappidoth (she was married to the Light, Lamp) and leader Judge of Israel. Verse 5: She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim (meaning fruitfulness), and the Israelites went up to her to have their disputes decided. (v6) She sent for Barak (Lightning, Blessing, Word) and gave him the command of the LORD:
"Go, take 10,000 men... up to Mount Tabor (border of three tribes: Zebulun, Issachar and Naphtali. The mountain's importance stems from its strategic control of the junction of the Galilee's north-south route with the east-west highway of the Jezreel Valley. It was also the site of the transfiguration of Jesus (Matthew 17:1–8, Mark 9:2–8, Luke 9:28–36, and 2 Peter 1:16–18. In the days of the Second Temple (c. 516 BCE – 70 CE), Mount Tabor was one of the mountain peaks on which it was the custom to light beacons in order to inform the northern villages of Jewish holy days and of the beginning of new months.)
... while I (Deborah) lead the enemy to the Kishon River (snarer or place of the snaring, From the verb קוש (qosh), to lay bait or a snare) and give him (Sisera and the Canaanite army) into your hands."
POSITIONING is EVERYTHING in this hour. As the saying goes "Location, Location, Location!"
The Church has forgotten a very very important FUNDAMENTAL: and that is POSITION.
POSITION is how we gain access to the fruit, how we are set free, how we walk in blessing and importantly how we gain the VICTORY. There is great provision God has supplied for us, we can live free because of Jesus and what He did on the cross. It has ALL been done for us, including our personal deliverance. But we have missed the key: we have to DO SOMETHING to access it.
Deborah had the idea even though she may look like an extraordinary woman even by our time's standards, she had a mantle and authority made possible by her FAITH which she APPLIED, and she TOOK the STEPS to dismantle the threads of the enemy. She heard the Word, she Believed it, she Spoke it, and she Shifted it - she ACTIVATED it.
Hebrews 3:7-9 is a WARNING against UNBELIEF:
So, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you hear His Voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the wilderness, where your ancestors tested and tried me, though for forty years they saw what I did. (Let's keep reading vv 10-15)...
"That is why I was angry with that generation; I said, 'Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.' So I declared on oath in my anger, 'They shall never enter My rest.'"
See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called "Today," so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end. As has just been said:
"Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion."
My prayer for you, the Reader:
LORD, it is not by chance this Dear One is reading Your Word of revelation today, it is actually time for him/her to get into their POSITION of authority, to align themselves with YOU and Your purpose for them Today. Lord, I pray they will have access, right now, to their book, to access and download the Destiny and Purpose You have for them, so they will receive insight and begin to ACTIVATE in the spirit that which has been called in the Spirit but will be purposed in the natural. Lord, I thank You for Your revelations, daily, and that no thing is a mistake, or an error, but all things are purposed for us in Christ to become more Christlike for these days ahead. LORD I pray you give my brother/my sister the eyes to see and step into the FULLNESS of their Destiny, and that they see in the FULLNESS You have given them, to strengthen them in their standing, their roots, as trees of righteousness and source, that their Source be only from You. As Esther 4:14 pens For that you are indeed, born for such a time as this! Amen. - Deborah
Author's note: I began drawing this 3 days ago as I was praying. I was not thinking of any thing in particular, except I had just watched The Chosen new episode (1 of Season 2) and remembered the fish, which look like loaves. the palms were just lines as in a waterfall, and then I felt to turn them into majestic King Palms with leaves/palms frond crowning the trunks - all this just sat there for a few days in my journal until I realised with the download of the Palm of Deborah research and ICHTHYS I did this morning and the Deborah Anointing school I am running at the moment, all tied in together.
